Superbrands (UK) presents opinion on branding primarily through three core programmes; Superbrands, Business Superbrands, and CoolBrands. Each annual programme uses an independent selection process that seeks the opinion of an expert council and a nationally representative sample of consumers to generate a ‘Top 500’ league table. The results are published in the national and trade press. Brands in the Top 500 are awarded the status of ‘Superbrands’, ‘Business Superbrands’ or ‘CoolBrands’ depending on the programme in which they have succeeded. These leading brands also have the opportunity to become members of a wider paid for programme, which help them maximise their status. Membership benefits include a use of an exclusive award stamp and access to members-only networking events.

Euro EFFIES® 2008

The EACA Euro Effies are the Gold Standard in Commercial Communications Effectiveness. They reward not just traditional advertising disciplines, but campaigns which have achieved success through proven, effective commercial communications in two or more European markets.
The EACA Euro Effies are open to all agencies (whether members of EACA or not) for campaigns which ran  between 1 January and 31 December 2007 and are organised by the EACA in partnership with EuroNews. A campaign may have started before 2007 and needs to have supporting data from the beginning of the campaign.
To be considered for a Euro Effie, campaigns must prove beyond reasonable doubt that the choice and use of commercial communications were key to the campaign's success. Judging procedure is based primarily on ensuring that the evidence of results is matched to, and proves the achievement of, the business goals.
Dr. Olaf Göttgens, Vice President Brand Communications of DaimlerChrysler, wil chair the Jury for this year’s EACA Euro Effies. Over 90 cases will be viewed by 55 international judges in Rounds One and Two.
Entry and judging criteria for the awards are in line with the New York American Marketing Association (New York AMA) global Effie standards.
Winners will be announced on the evening of Wednesday 17 September at an Awards Gala in Brussels, with a formal announcement made on 18 September on the official Euro EFFIES website (www.euro-effie.com).
